Cardiac Rehabilitation

Dear Patient:

Pima Heart physicians have developed a cardiac rehabilitation program to facilitate your recovery from your heart problem. This program will give you the education and support you need, so that you can learn the lifestyle modifications necessary to prevent future heart problems. We consider this very important for your future health. Some of you may not have the benefit of cardiac rehabilitation in your insurance plan. Pima Heart's belief is that you, the patient, should have access to cardiac rehabilitation and have the right to participate in your cardiac health. If your insurance plan does not offer you a cardiac rehabilitation option, we will. We have developed a reasonable, affordable payment plan for the service.

DO YOU KNOW?
  • Each year Pima Heart's cardiac rehabilitation program helps hundreds of patients recover from the trauma of heart attack or heart surgery.
  • We strive to rehabilitate your body and help you build confidence in yourself.
  • You will have access to a trained exercise physiologist or nurse during your cardiac rehabilitation course.
  • A cardiologist directs our program.
  • You will meet other people with symptoms similar to your own.
  • We are accessible, flexible, and we tailor the program to you individually. We will supervise you during your program.
  • We suggest you attend 2 - 3 sessions per week.
  • This is a two-month program.
  • You can stay in our maintenance program (after your cardiac rehabilitation) for a minimal fee.
